I have worked and exhibited as an artist in both Scotland and Italy over the years enjoying drawing , painting , photography and all kinds of crafts. I was born in Turin, Italy in 1972 and for the last fifty odd years I have lived between the two. My work is greatly influenced by my surroundings be it landscape / seascape or the people and animals in my life. I feel very lucky to have lived/ travelled in some truly beautiful places. I now live in Dunbar, Scotland with my family and a rather silly amount of four legged friends. As a mother, my enthusiasm and passion for art covers my daughter's lovely art work too. Those who know us ,will know us not only as 'mother and daughter' but as 'Hoghair & Sable' a joint venture set up in 2015 to showcase our combined artistic talents. Great fun! Although we've hit the pause button while Mia, now a teenager, is studying hard at school..who knows what the future holds...art is still very much her thing!
